Hyundai has officially revealed that it will soon launch the new sub-4 meter compact SUV as a Maruti Brezza challenger will be called the Venue.
The Hyundai Venue will compete with the likes of Maruti Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300 and Ford EcoSport.
It will be Hyundai’s first sub-4 meter SUV for the Indian market and will be positioned below the best-selling Crete.
The Venue nameplate is what the subcompact SUV is going to be called globally, and not Styx as perceived before.
It is expected that the Hyundai Venue will be offered with 1.2-liter and 1.5-liter petrol and diesel engines while a manual gearbox is standard with this engine, Hyundai is also likely to offer an automated manual transmission option.
Expect many other top features of the segment. A touchscreen infotainment system will be standard on top-end variants with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Twin airbags, ABS, EBD, speed alerts, reverse parking cameras, seat belt reminders, and ISOFIX children’s seats are available for all variants.
Hyundai Venue SUV is expected to be priced in the vicinity of 8-12 lakh (ex-showroom).
